Bio:

John joined the firm in January 1999 when it was Cybul & Cybul Architects. He worked directly with David Cybul, the founding partner learning the refrigerated food industry. All these efforts paid off when he became a partner in December 2019. He has project managed and he has been the point of contact for some of our largest projects. These include the 639,000 square foot Fresh Direct facility in Harlem River Yards, the 400,000 square foot New Fulton Fish Market and 210,000 square foot Meat Market in the Hunts Point Market. During his time with our firm, he has worked on a vast array of food processing, food manufacturing, meat purveying, and distribution facilities.
John is a key contributor to schematic design development and is essential to analyzing clients’ needs and objectives, developing programs, executing design and the coordinating of construction documents. He is also experienced in the contract administration of all the projects from field sketches, coordination with the construction team and final punch lists. John has extensive project management experience and has been directly involved with the construction of over 2,000,000 square feet of refrigerated processing and storage facilities in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Indiana.

John is a Pratt Institute graduate with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and has been working for the past 35 years in the field of Architecture. Prior to working with Cybul Architects, he worked in construction performing various residential masonry projects as well as worked with various architectural firms on various building types such as housing for public development, assisted living facilities, dental and doctor offices, industrial buildings, and residential architecture.

He is currently a Senior Project Manager and has been with the firm for the past 20 years. John’s most recently completed projects include:
